Making Knives + Using Branches as Handles?
Переглядів 10 тис.4 роки тому
In this video we finish off a project that I started last year to make a series of stainless steel knives, and we also go on to make the handle out of branches. This started out as an exploration into how with only one component of a product, the rest can be made, however I also found that the process enables you to learn about the properties of timber and how best to use tools - with the handl...

Very cool looking piece. Trash to treasure sort of idea. live next door to a farm store. Lots of pallets, some free. Might try something similar.
Nice to see you back in the shop again! It's been quite a while!
My Nani make these things with newspaper .....❤
It's funny this video is as old as my youngest stepson, but we just found woodworking together as a way to bond, and LOL, using our table saw, I've been doing the same❤ 11 years later, and I can only assume from your accent, probably hundreds of miles away😂❤ gotta love the internet for the simple things like that.
You deserve way more likes . Masterpiece . I also make knife stop motion but you are king 😂
Very interesting. But, if you are going to be sanding drywall like that, you should be wearing a dust mask!
By cutting the dry wall at a 45 degrees angle twice without piercing the paper on the opposite side (imagine cutting a triangle shape line our of the dry wall) you can then fold the dry wall making a 90 degree angle that is flush paper on both sides
I lived in the Philippines for three years. A bottle jack with hooks welded to both ends will quitely spread those bars apart far enough for a small adult or child to pass through and enter the building and unlock the door.
Sad you have to put bars in your windows. Nice work nevertheless
What kind of clay is the original made of? I tried making an alginate mold of a paper clay shape and it got stuck.
Wonderful video, working out a plywood cabinet myself, was wondering how you managed to have the left side exposed panel (gable) have zero screws in it?
I can't remember the solution I came to at the time, but using some sort of floating tenon - either a domino or dowel would be my recommendation. You could alternatively pocket screw or use another type of mechanical knock down fixing.
The esty store is empty.
Who ever is in the house can forget about escaping thru that window if the house is on fire
Well put together both the woodworking and the production. Talented.
Such a beautiful, poetic, wise, inspiring and yet so practical video. Thank you so much!!
Dang i just found your channel and got excited but it seems you've stopped making videos! come back! your style is so cool
ps maybe you could do a type of AMSR vid with quieter talking and lower saw noises. the garden wouldnt say an eyesore.. just an isolated object. the plant on it, or even if you painted it a different colour.. or framed it with other objects of similar ilk to tie it into your gardenscape Love it all x
so if the doors were in better nick you wouldnt need to tidy and glue etc.. i love old doors and have a fantasty of creating an utdoor area made of doors..
Hey man, just wanted to say your effing brilliant man you really are. I wish I came across to your channel a lot sooner than now, but I love your content and the way your brain works and a lot of things you create wonderful.
You gonna plaster it?
Sha
Good filming, but use the tool for its intended purpose 😉
Can this be done with just basic hand tools?
It’s scary dark in that room😯
I love this video but I think I should turn the closed captioning off because the words do not match what he saying. It does make for some humor but if you don't understand the accent the words can be confusing and distracting. Now to others the close captioning is not useful but is funny.
Excellent work !
Great video, thanks !
Это круто!!!!!!!! Шедевр из материала который просто жгут или выбрасывают. 🤗
I love this video, He is a genius but against other woodworking youtubers, He doesnt show off his technics or power tools, Hes got the job done as the expert He is period
I thank you so much for the awesome video, I really liked the texture on the doors ! Keep up the gw 💪
Great show of skill and a really sustainable design.

I love it...amazing!
What about a fire?
What is/are the exact songs and names in the video? They are amazing.
I watch a lot of cabinet-making videos from all the usual suspects. I don't have any trouble quitting/stopping their videos when I get the jist. But your video was mesmerizing. Stellar work.
this is a new genre I think I could get in to! Beautiful work and poetic presentation. I don't make many comments but thought this deserved one more.
